In collaboration with WashU CCxN, this panel features student veterans sharing personal reflections on navigating military service when mission requirements, policies, or leadership decisions conflicted with their personal values. Through candid storytelling and dialogue, panelists will explore themes of integrity, moral complexity, identity, and belonging—both during service and in their transition to academic life.

Importantly, the panel highlights the parallels between these experiences and those faced by many students navigating institutions, systems, or expectations that may not always align with their own values. By drawing these connections, the conversation invites the broader campus community to reflect on shared challenges around voice, agency, and belonging.
